An Integrative Approach to Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry

Cynthia Jackson, MD

Dr. Jackson has traveled an unconventional path in medicine. She completed her undergraduate education at Columbia University in 2003. After college, she took time to establish her family and worked in clinical research across several academic centers. She later embarked on medical school while parenting four young children.

Dr. Jackson earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2017. She completed her adult psychiatry residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2020, followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 2022. Throughout her training, she learned from some of the pioneers in the field of psychiatry.  After completing fellowship, Dr. Jackson served as the Medical Director of the Johns Hopkins Children’s Mental Health Center and as a treating psychiatrist in the Center for Child & Family Traumatic Stress at the Kennedy Krieger Institute.  Currently, Dr. Jackson provides care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
